7th Annual White House Performance by UNCA Singers
For the seventh consecutive year, the UNC Asheville Singers performed at the White House, entertaining VIP tours at the Holiday Open House on December 8. Last year, the choir performed at a private White House reception and met President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
In addition to the performance at the White House, the UNC Asheville Singers entertained soldiers in the Wounded Warrior program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
The UNC Asheville Singers are directed by Associate Professor of Music Melodie Galloway. Choir members include students Liz Acker, Deanna Christoforou, Larkin Dodgen, Timothy Fay, Austin Freer, Dustin Hooper, William Isaacson, Sarah Jeske, Kyra Lewis, Spencer Maupin-Thomas, Emily Morris, Justin Morris, Vanessa Nowik, Sarah Ristaino, Kadeelyn Schwall, Nathan Singer, David Singleton, Jacob Stern, and Anna Testa.
