Asheville
Independence Day Block Party. Family-friendly festival with Amazing Air Dogs, fireworks, food, live music, and more on Friday, July 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. in the South Slope District (between Coxe and Buxton Avenue).
Black Mountain
Fireworks display begins at dusk on Friday, July 4. It will be visible from many areas near downtown. They will be launched from behind the former Bi-Lo Grocery Store (205 NC Highway 9 in Black Mountain).
Hendersonville
Live performances, food trucks, and a kid’s activity zone downtown on Friday, July 4. Fireworks display at dusk.
Mars Hill
The 4th of July Celebration Festival takes place on Friday, July 4 from 5-10 p.m. at Mars Hill University’s stadium on Athletic Street. Featuring food trucks, games, inflatables, and music. Fireworks begin at dusk.
Boone
4th of July Celebration takes place on Friday, July 4. Festivities include a parade, fireworks, live music, and an 18th-century Revolutionary War reenactment, “Horn in the West.” More details at exploreboone.com.
Lake Junaluska Independence Celebration
- Multi-day festival takes place June 29 through July 6.
- July 3: Blue Ridge Big Band concert at 7 p.m., then fireworks around 9:15 p.m.
- July 4: Parade at 11 a.m.
- Picnic/family fun from 12 to 2 p.m. Whitewater Bluegrass concert from 12-2 p.m.
- Singing Soldiers and reading of Declaration of Independence at 7 p.m.
- Floating lanterns and lakeside fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Maggie Valley
Backyard Fourth takes place on Friday, July 4 from 6 to 11 p.m. This free community event is held at Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. Bring a chair or a blanket. Gates open at 6 p.m. Police will be selling $10 BBQ plates. Alcohol- and pet-free. Fireworks at dark.
Cherokee
4th of July Powwow takes place July 4-6. Honoring Cherokee culture with captivating dance performances, craft demonstrations, and authentic cuisine. More details at visitcherokeenc.com/event/4th-of-july-powwow.
Marion
Independence Day celebration takes place on Friday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m.
- 6 p.m. Parade downtown
- 6:30 p.m. street dance with live band

The celebration takes place on Friday, July 4 with the Gotcha Groove band performing from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Bridge Park, followed by fireworks visible from downtown.
Blowing Rock
Downtown Blowing Rock’s 4th of July parade and festival begins with a parade at 10 a.m., followed by a day of music and festivities.
