Men’s Day Observance: June 15 & 16

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Asheville will observe Men’s Day on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024.

The theme of this year’s observance is “Men of Honor: Qualities of a Good/Godly Man,” a message that will inspire and challenge men. The keynote speaker for this event is Reverend Dr. O.T. Hill, pastor of Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree, South Carolina.

A workshop will be provided for the men of Mt. Zion on Saturday, June 15.  Join us for the Sunday morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. Kurtis Martin is Men’s Day Chair.

Scholarship Sunday: June 23

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Asheville will celebrate Scholarship Sunday at 10:45 a.m. on June 23, 2024. The guest speaker will be CiCi Avery Weston of Asheville.

CiCi is the director of the Christine W. Avery Learning Center, which is named in honor of her late mother who also was passionate and committed to educating youth. CiCi, like her mother, believes that every child deserves a strong educational foundation to aid them in becoming successful citizens who give back to their communities.

CiCi is a well-known community leader and has excelled in her investment in adolescent youth. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her accomplishments and service.
