Ms. Elaine Robinson Beattie Honored

The award is presented by Montreat College to alumni who have made significant contributions to their professional field while exemplifying high business ethics.

Ms. Beattie is a master leadership coach and trainer with over twenty years in hospitality management and executive leadership. She spent 21 years in the hospitality industry as a senior executive of Fortune 500 companies, working across the US and Canada. She is best known as an effective presenter and facilitator sharing her expertise in hospitality, cultural intelligence, and leadership development.

Elaine Robinson received a BA in Business Administration from Simmons College (now University), a prestigious women’s college noted for producing some of the most influential businesswomen in America. She later earned a master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Montreat College, and in 2019 was awarded a Master of Religious Leadership by Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.

Ms. Beattie is a DiSC behavior assessment and the Intercultural Competencies Inventory (ICI) administrator. A Registered Corporate Coach through the World Association of Business Coaches, she recently received a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion certification from the University of South Florida.

Ms. Beattie is married to Rev. Dr. Charles M. Beattie II, pastor of Hartford UMC in Senoia, GA, and also an international blues artist. Both former residents of Asheville, the couple now reside in Ellenwood, Ga., with their beloved dog, Miss Ella Fitzgerald Robinson Beattie.
