for Small Businesses
Beginning January 14, 2011, this three-session course covers how to increase web site traffic, attract search engine attention, improve customer communication and strengthen your brand.
The course will help build a better understanding of the current Facebook and Twitter tools as well as teach how to integrate social media strategies into a current marketing plan, how to know which media web sites are right for your business, and how company contact lists and databases can be combined with social media strategies to increase the bottom line.
The classes are taught three consecutive Fridays from 9 am to noon at
Mountain BizWorks Asheville. Space is limited and pre-registration is
required.
Principles of Marketing
Mountain BizWorks is beginning a five-week course on the
principles of marketing for entrepreneurs wanting to grow their business
beginning Monday, January 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A solid, focused marketing plan is essential to the growth and
success of a small business. The course, taught by Marilyn Ball of
Twelve Collaborative Marketing Solutions, will cover the fundamentals of
creative marketing in a peer group environment.
Students will learn how to develop a focused marketing plan to
create measurable results to increase bottom line and how to effectively
identify, reach and target customers using research, planning, and
budgeting.
Throughout the course, participants study how to weave target
market, image, product, price, promotion, and value into a creative
written marketing plan. By reaching specific target markets, business
owners can maximize time and dollars spent on well-organized promotions,
and business owners realize a return on their advertising investment.
They also learn how to measure marketing efforts to obtain steady
growth, desired results, and increased revenue.
