On Saturday, April 25, the Beta Lambda Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority hosted its annual Debutante Presentation, recognizing the 2015 Queen and Court:

Miss Nyla Sierra Eddings, a sophomore at Asheville High School, was crowned 2015 Queen by Keonia Verita Woods, the 2014 Queen. Nyla is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alinda Mobley.

Her court comprised First Runner-Up, Miss Ameris Wilson, a freshman at TC Roberson and daughter of Ms. Samantha Wilson and Mr. Wendell Hearst; Second Runner-Up, Miss Samara Di’Monique Hanks, a sophomore at TC Roberson and daughter of Ms. Stephanie Weston Thompson and Mr. Woody Hanks.

The debutante presentation was held in conjunction with Finer Womanhood Month. Proceeds from the event are used for scholarships and contributions to community service organizations and humanitarian projects.

The sorors of Beta Lambda Zeta Chapter congratulated all the young ladies presented to society during the 2015 “Enchanted Evening of Splendor and Grace.” The Debutante Committee included Mrs. Harriet Ray, Mrs. Norma Baynes, and Mrs. Barbara Lewis. Sarah Weston Hart is president of the sorority.
