No entrance fee on Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, January 19, 2015

Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site and national parks across the country are honoring the up-coming Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday by waiving admission fees on Monday, January 19, 2015. Tour fees of the Sandburg Home will be waived for this holiday and eight more days throughout 2015.

Fee free days at the Sandburg Home and all national parks will also be offered during President’s Day Weekend (February 14-16), National Park Week first weekend (April 18-19), National Park Service Birthday (August 25), National Public Lands Day (September 26), and Veterans Day (November 11).

There is never a fee to visit the grounds, trails or farm. Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site is a unit of the National Park Service. The park is located three miles south of Hendersonville off U.S. 225 on Little River Road, and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., daily.
