Creating a Dementia Friendly Faith Community
Saturday, September 17
Calvary Presbyterian and Berry Temple United Methodist Church host an event focused on enhancing the quality of life for people living with dementia and their caregivers. Transforming communities to be aware, safe, and respectful, will be the topic of this seminar presented by Western North Carolina Dementia Friendly Communities. The seminar takes place from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 44 Circle Street, Asheville. Please RSVP to Barbara Doster at (828) 258-9239. This is a free event.

Presented by the Mud Creek Baptist Association. The host pastor will be the Rev. Prince River, pastor of United Metropolitan Church in Winston-Salem, NC. The theme is “On Fire or Burnt Out?” The conference will take place at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 486 Caribou Road in Asheville. Registration is $35 per person. Area ministers are invited to attend.
Friends and Family Day – Outdoor Service

New Visions Missionary Baptist Church invites you to attend our friends and family outdoor service event which begins at 11 a.m. Host pastor will be Rev. Odell Suber, Sr. A picnic will be held after the service. The church is located at 55 Shiloh Road in Asheville.

The Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating Youth Day at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Tried Stone. The celebration will feature the talents of the youth of the church as well as a guest speaker. The church is located on 100 Carroll Avenue in Asheville. Elder Alfred E. Blount is the pastor. 3rd Annual Nilous M. Avery Moderator’s Banquet
Saturday, September 24
Presented by the Mud Creek Baptist Association, the banquet begins at 6 p.m. at Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Asheville. Speaker for the event will be Rev. Dr. J. Vincent Terry, Sr. of Raleigh, NC, 3rd Vice President of the NC General Baptist State Convention. Tickets for the banquet are $30 per person, and $240 for a table of eight people. Women’s Day Event
Sunday, September 25
St. James A.M.E Church presents Redeemed Strengthened Wise Woman of God (Ephesians 6:10). Guest speaker will be Sister Audrey Gwynn, member of Gaston Chapel A.M.E Church in Morganton, NC.
