Waters Elected to Second Term

Raynetta C. Waters of the Asheville Chapter of the Links was re-elected for a second term as the Southern Area Nominating Chair of the Links Incorporated. Elections was held at the 44th Southern Area Conference in Atlanta, Georgia where nine members from the Asheville Chapter attended to get “Plugged In and Powered Up.”

Links Welcome New Members

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Asheville Chapter of The Links, Incorporated welcomed five new members: Octavia Caldwell, Wendy Collins-Young, Pamela Johnson, Linda Parsley, and Carla Willis.

The Links, Inc. is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The national membership consists of nearly 14,000 professional women of color in 283 chapters located in 41 states, including the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. The Links provide outstanding programs under the facets of Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends, and Health and Human Services.

The Asheville Chapter sponsors a variety of programs under these facets and provides college scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors in the city.
