A-B Tech Community College launched No Limits, its bi-weekly radio show on WRES 100.7 FM, in September 2013.
The show still airs live every other Wednesday at 11 a.m. and is replayed several times throughout the week.
The program covers a wide range of topics related to the college and the community, including segments on financial aid and how to afford a college education, including scholarships; how to get into college; job opportunities; how to start your own business; academic programs and community resources.
Duane Adams, Associate Director of the A-B Tech Small Business Center, co-hosts the show with Leronica Casey, Scholarship Coordinator in Financial Aid. They work to find topics relevant to the community and students, and then schedule guests to come meet them at the station to open the discussion.
Since the A-B Tech Community has also been impacted by the opioid epidemic that is gripping the country, it will be the topic of the October 18, 2017 show. Guests will be Heather Pack, Director of Student Support Services at A-B Tech; Bob Cummings of Red Oak Recovery; and Anne Seaman, the mother of a recently deceased A-B Tech student. The show will be livestreamed on the College’s Facebook page. You can find out more about the program at abtech.edu/wres.
