The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for oversight of fund raising and planned giving opportunities within the community. Duties include building relationships, encouraging charitable contributions to the community, representing Deerfield at community functions, and coordinating educational opportunities focusing on residents’ personal finance issues, planned giving, and community outreach purposes.
The optimal candidate would have at least four or more years of successful nonprofit event planning, volunteer management, and fundraising experience as well as a college degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
