Making Your Business Legal

Starting and running a small business can raise a number of legal questions.

Making Your Business Legal is designed to give a small business owner or anyone contemplating starting a business an overview of legal and tax issues they may encounter and how to address those issues. It will cover choosing the right structure for your business, managing risk through proper insurance coverage, and complying with relevant state and federal laws. It will also cover the basics of maintaining proper financial records, the tax implications of various business structures, and the steps needed to ensure tax compliance.

A-B Tech will host this small-business seminar on Saturday, September 16 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 2016 of the Small Business Center at the school’s Enka Campus, 1459 Sand Hill Road, just off Smokey Park Highway.
