Affordable Treasures – Making Art Affordable!

by Johnnie Grant

Iana Lyles learned about Asheville from her husband Rudolph. When he retired, he wanted to move back to his hometown, so the couple relocated here, and Iana quickly fell in love with the city. Having been an art dealer in the New York/New Jersey area for more than 10 years, she opened Affordable Treasures, a gallery for aspiring and professional artists.

An eclectic blend of mixed-media arts, the gallery offers local and national artists a unique opportunity to showcase their work. Iana would like her gallery to be the resting place of Asheville artists, where they can let their creativity and diverse talents come to life. In addition to the wide variety of creative styles, the gallery presents a portfolio of each artist so customers can learn more about a work’s creator.

The artwork ranges from oil paintings and watercolors to prints and
sculptures. You will find also find the walls are covered with abstract
imagery, landscapes, and floral pieces, in addition to gemstone
jewelry, gift cards, and other unique gifts.

Gallery displays change every 30 to 45 days to entice the customers coming back to see what is new on display.
Upcoming Events at Affordable Treasures: “Works Without Limits”

A new artist will be featured in each of the next two months.
The artist will have a private showing for which the gallery invites
all its former customers as well as guests invited by the artist. The
showing will then be opened to the public so the featured artist can
show “work without limits,” including works that might not normally be
carried by the gallery due to space and size limitations.

If you would like to host a private social, or art exhibit, the
gallery is available for special events as well. Just call owner Iana
Lyles (828) 252-8267 or visit the web site at
www.affordabletreasurestore.com to make arrangements.
Affordable Treasures is located in the Haywood Park Hotel at 1 Battery Park Avenue, Suite L2, Asheville, NC. Hours are
