Dr. Scott Whitaker, ND, CNHP, author of MediSin, is a board-certified naturopathic doctor with more than twenty years of experience in herbology, iridology, homeopathy, natural healing, and detoxification.
In his debut as an author, Dr. Whitaker presents raw background information, exposing poisonous and debilitating additives into our food and drugs that serve no overall purpose or intention of ever actually healing people. Simply put, MediSin seeks to give readers a comprehensive understanding of medicine, disease, and the divine principles of health.
MediSin also includes an overview of the miseducation of the health-care establishment and of nutritional dogma perpetrated by corporations. Dr. Whitaker asks compelling questions like: “Why isn’t cancer under control?”
His nearly 400-page volume covers a century of medical applications and the history of refined foods, from Pasteur’s germ theory to the hidden causes of obesity. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it is also true that people perish from the lack of knowledge.
Scott Whitaker grew up in the infamous South Central area of Los Angeles, and he attributes his parents’ strong guidance as his anchor in life. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. During his time at Berkeley, he became interested in holistic medicine and drew a connection between holistic living and long-term health.
Of particular interest to him were the common health problems plaguing the African American community. To get all of the information he could, he obtained his doctorate of Naturopathy from the International School of Naturopathy in Los Altos, California. Dr. Whitaker was determined to spread the truth about holistic lifestyles as a means to obtaining long-term good health to people everywhere. In that vein he began compiling the information he presents in MediSin, a fascinating and unique perspective packed with compelling facts and informative text.
Over the years, Dr. Whitaker has traveled throughout the world learning and applying the healing sciences of China, Asia Minor, North Africa, and Southeast Asia to correct the maladies of our modern time. He shares his belief that positive mental thoughts are essential for healing. “Perhaps 80% of the body healing is related to positive mental outlooks,” explained Dr. Whitaker. He has an extensive background in multiple industries, self-study and academic study, allowing for a renaissance interpretation of the world that is not biased by the need to regurgitate disinformation in order to obtain degrees or rank. Dr. Whitaker challenges your belief system, for your true healing benefit.
When first released in 2005, MediSin won four awards: “Book of the Year” by KHA Books and Conquering Books, LLC Charlotte, NC; “Best Non-Fiction Science/Health” from the Los Angeles Black Book Expo; USABookNews’s 2005 “Best Book Award Finalist”; and “Top Five Books for 2005” from The Robert Scott Bell Radio Show.
