In 2013 McDaniel wrote and produced a play, The Many Personalities of the Soul, which is based on her first book.
Her second book, Misty’s Blues, was competed in 2014. Misty’s Blues is two books in one. Half of the book is poetry, and the other half is a short story where she introduces a new character, Erykah Kane. McDaniel is currently working on a novel (miniseries) on the life of Erykah Kane.
