Asheville Art in the Park Arts & Community Grant

Information Session: January 18 at 5 p.m.
Deadline: February 15 at 5 p.m.

Asheville Art in the Park (AAitP) and the Asheville Area Arts Council (AAAC) are proud to announce that the 2017-18 Asheville Art in the Park Arts & Community Grant application is now open.

This grant is offered to qualifying committed artists in Western North Carolina in order to enhance public spaces and highlight the role of local artists within the community. The application deadline is February 15, 2017 at 5 p.m. The AAAC will hold an information session, January 18, 2017 at 5 p.m., at the AAAC’s Refinery Creator Space, located at 207 Coxe Ave., Asheville, NC 28801.

In its fifth year, this grant is funded through the generous donations from vendors of the 2016 Asheville Art in the Park events. These artists donate 10% of their booth profits to help support the continuation of art in public spaces in Western North Carolina. Buncombe County generously helps AAAC to match this community donation. We will disperse $13,250 in the 2017-18 AAitP grant cycle. Grants typically range between $1,000 to $3,000.
